Monday 26 October 2009 - HONDA CB 1000 R EXHAUSTS Catalysts reduce polluting emissions. However, their position sometimes makes it difficult to replace the standard silencer. This is the case with CB 1000 R, which between the back wheel and the frame houses an 'odd' looking expanse chamber (not to say 'large cylinder) that becomes the dominating element as soon as the large standard silencer is replaced. It would be a real shame not to be able to offer the owner of this Honda maxi-naked the possibility of fitting our SUONO, GP and XCONE silencers, all perfectly suited to its design. The solution was conceived in our R&D department. It's a stylish looking casing (available as optional) that fully covers the area of the large catalyst.

Below are the results of the bench test, measured at the wheel. The best performance is given by the GP Open silencer, which offers a 4CV power increase, a 2 Nm torque increase, and a total weight decrease of almost 5 kg. Also the homologated solutions offer significant improvements, in addition to giving the bike a further 'Made in Italy' touch, which is always welcome.
