MOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

In its home Grand Prix and Round 3 of the Motocross World Championship, MIVV has clinched a prestigious result, thanks to Josè Butron, who clinched the fifth spot in MX2 at the end of an intense day of racing.

The beautiful track in Fermo, a few kilometres from MIVV headquarter, has seen the Diga Racing rider conquering the holeshot in Race 2 and even leading the race for half a lap. The Spanish rider, who turned out to be the highest not factory rider in the GP overall standings  had then to settle for third for several laps, until he had to give up to the rival’s assaults to cross the chequered flag in seventh. The first outing saw Butron getting a good start and posting fast lap times, which rewarded him with ninth spot at the end of the race.

Things were harder for Davide Guarneri, in MX1, who managed to clinch 13th overall, a result which didn’t reflect his true potential. Nothing to do for team mate Mihail Cociu, who crashed in race 1 and suffered a slight concussion at his head. The Silver Action Team’s rider was advised not to take part in the final moto to avoid any risk.
