Mardi 10 Avril 2012 - MOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP The first round of the 2012 edition of the Motocross World Championship kicked off in the Easter week end on the sandy track of Valkenswaard, Holland, in front of 23.000 spectators. It’s been a positive start to the season for MIVV, thanks to Silver Action’s flagship rider Davide Guarneri, who took 13th and 16th in the two hard fought motos. Things would have gone even better for the Italian if two crash in both heats hadn’t vanished his chances to get top ten finishes, as he was likely to do before the crashes. Disappointment for MIVV’s MX2 flagship rider Josè Butron, who, aboard the KTM of the Diga Racing Team, showed to be perfectly fit, even on a selective track like Valkenswaard. The Spaniard has unfortunately been stopped twice by technical problems, which forced him to DNFs in both motos. Butron took a perfect start in race 2, where he got the holeshot and, as he was forced to retire, he was circulating in fifth spot! The second round of the 2012 Motocross World Championship will kick off in two weeks time in Sevlievo, Bulgaria…stay tuned! Photo by: ardus |
