Lundi 4 Juin 2012 - MOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP After the two back-to-back races held in South America, the motocross circus has come back to Europe for the sixth round of the series: it was France’s turn to host this round, on the beautiful track of St Jean d’Angely. MIVV’s flagship rides have clinched positive results, which could have been even better with a little bit of luck. Davide Guarneri, in MX1, ended up the day with a sixteenth spot overall, which doesn’t reflect his real potential. The Silver Action’s Team ace didn’t get good starts and couldn’t find the right feeling with the hard packed soil of the French track, which prevented him to show his skills on this kind of terrain. Josè Butron, in MX2, has been battling with the top guys for several laps in Race 1, when, with some laps left to go, he was hit by a rival, which dropped him back to ninth spot. Team mate Priit Ratsep rejoined competition after his injury and, notwithstanding his will to get good results, he failed to score points. Perfect results for Tim Gajser in his first outing in the European Championship: The young un of Silver Action’s Team powered his KTM SX-F250 to fifth overall, while team mate Robin Kappel followed in 12th. Coming next: the Grand Prix of Portugal, to be held in one week time in Agueda.
